Misc. Stats:

Accolades: 2018 Consensus All-American

Injuries: Suffered a head injury vs Clemson in CFB Playoff.

History: Three-star recruit from Westchester, IL. Two-time State Champion at Nazareth, he played both ways. Has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft, will forego his Senior season.

Strengths: Good size, well built kid. Good eyes in zone coverage.  Good anticipation, quick processor. Breaks on the football very well (multiple jumped route ints in 2017, 2 for TDs). Very quick feet. Good short area quickness, can open up his hips well. Has shown the ability to react quickly and get his hands in on quick curl routes. Makes a lot of plays on the ball when it’s in front of him. Very productive career, I had to double check his PBU stats, as they appeared to be a typo.

Weaknesses: Good not great athlete. Has trouble lining up against big receivers in the red zone. Big receivers also give him trouble in the run game, as he has trouble getting off blocks. Somewhat hesitant filling lanes in the run game. Although toughness isn’t an issue, not overly physical. Long speed is average, can get beat over the top. Didn’t play a lot of press man.

Overview: Love has the short area quickness, quick mental processing and anticipation to contribute immediately. His best fit would be in a zone coverage scheme, where he can play the ball in front of him. His lack of long and recovery speed, size and strength could be an issue in some schemes.

Draft Projection: 2nd Round Pick
