Injury History. Missed time in 2020 with Covid

History. Three-star recruit from Roanoke, VA. Attended Northside, where he was a four-year letterman and All-State as a Senior. Also played basketball in High School. Cousin of NFL player Tarell Basham. Participated in the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Strengths: Good size/muscular build. Good athletic ability, checks the boxes (logged 4.64 40 and 10’2″ broad jump at pro day). Scheme diversity and size to be able to shift inside on pass downs. Good hand usage, strong and quick. Good motor. Production rush resume, with a knack for knocking the ball loose. Brings some pop in his hits.

Weaknesses: Stiff hips. Lack of lateral ability. Does not have much bend. Lacks suddenness. Overall, athleticism is nothing special. Plays too upright at times, doesn’t use his size. Wish he was stronger, weighing what he does. Lower body strength is average. Gets pushed out of position too much.

Overview: A bit of a tweener that will need to either lose or pack on some pounds. He’s probably a natural strong-side 4-3 end that can shift inside on rush downs. He’s a good backup, that could eventually be a solid starter. Natural size and athleticism provides a relatively high floor for him.

Evaluation based on. Clemson 20′, UNC 20′
