Injuries:
History: Two-star TE prospect out of Stone Mountain, GA. Prepped at Stephenson High School, he signed with Michigan St. Also played basketball. He left Michigan St. in Spring 2016 and enrolled at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi. Was a Three-star JUCO DE prospect, who signed with Mississippi St.
Strengths: Great length and build. Tree limbs for arms and big hands. Showed one of the most impressive combines, posting a 4.41 at 260lbs. Great athlete (former TE, moved to DE at J.C.). Get off is impressive. Long strider who stands out in pursuit. Uses his long arms to his advantage, keeping him clean. Initial punch is strong. Has lined up as a 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE. Plays with a motor. Read and reacts quickly.
Weaknesses: Needs to get bigger and stronger, although has the room to grow. Must get lower at the point of attack. Pad level is way too inconsistent. Has some balance issues when blockers go low. Can be too aggressive getting up field, leaving some holes on draw plays.
Overview: A strong, long, athletic edge rusher. Sweat does a good job combining speed to power. He will need to get stronger and work on his pad level, but has first round talent. He’s a starting base end in a 40 front.
