Accolades: Honorable Mention All Big-10 in 2015. 2nd team All Big-10 in 2016.
History: Also played basketball in high school. Started every game as RS sophomore and junior in 15 and 16.
Injuries: Had a stinger in 2016
Strengths: Good size and length. Good athlete that timed well and shows good burst on the ball in off zone even though he is more comfortable in press man. Uses size well to shield WR. Seems comfortable getting head around to track ball and make plays although did have some lapses at times. Has some experience in the slot but would not want him there exclusively, especially against quicker WRs.
Weaknesses: Poor in the run game. Shows effort but too weak and poor technique. A little tight hipped. Not as comfortable in off coverage as he is in press. When pressing he rarely engages the WR at the line. Needs to get stronger.
Overvier: Prefer Ohio St’s other corner Lattimore, but Conley does have a nice and potentially versatile skillset. NFL need for corners should see him drafted higher than some expect.
Draft Projection: Top 15 pick
