Misc. Stats: Returned a punt for 17 yards in 2015.
Accolades: 2015 honorable mention All-American Athletic Conference. 2016 first-team all-AAC.
Injuries: Fractured femur his junior year of high school. Had a torn meniscus his senior year of high school.
History: Camden, NJ native. Played RB/S in high school. Had to walk on at Temple, was a 185 pound DB. Arrested in 2015 after he and teammate Dion Dawkins got into an altercation outside Club 1800 in North Philly. Graduated with a degree in criminal justice.
Strengths: Elite athleticism, was one of the top performers at the combine. Very explosive (11’1″ broad was longest ever by a DE at the combine, vertical was 3rd best this year). Has loose hips that you’d expect from a former RB/S, fluid in space. Has the speed to chase down ball carriers, very athletic runner in space. Can get skinny at times going inside. Quick to read and react, stays home. Philly tough, very competitive kid. Relentless pursuit.
Weaknesses: Lacks bulk for an edge rusher, and doesn’t have a long frame to add it to. Can get swallowed up easily, can’t get off the block once they lock on. Relies only on athleticism as a pass rusher, has limited moves.
Overview: A fast and fluid athlete that has the ability to chase down ball carriers in space. His Senior Bowl and Combine performance have some thinking of him as a first round edge rusher. I think he’s more of a linebacker, that you let roam in space. He can run with RBs out of the flat, and drop with WRs in the slot. Could really excel in as an ILB in a 3-4 in a system like the Steelers.
