Injury History. Missed Senior year (2016) of HS, due to torn ligament in foot

History. Four-star recruit from South Jordan, UT. Prepped at Bingham HS where he starred his Sophomore and Junior years. Was invited to the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Also played rugby.

Strengths: Big body, good bulk. Good initial pop. Very strong upper body. Good get off, looks to disrupt immediately. Stack and shed ability. Can rip and react to the football. Strong hands. Reliable tackler, who once he gets his hands on you, you’re not getting away. Very active, good secondary rush effort.

Weaknesses: Average length. Not a great athlete. Tight hipped, lacks change of direction skills. Doesn’t have the longest resume. Only played 2 of his last 5 seasons of football (opt out, redshirt, injury). Questions about maturity. Doesn’t have a go to pass rush move.

Overview: Tufele is a lot quicker when he moves up field, than he is laterally. He’s a disruptive player, with a strong upper body, and he gives 110%. He is a rotation player that could eventually be an every down player. His best fit is a 3-technique, in an attacking defense. Questions about his maturity, health, and ability to diagnose could keep him out of day two.
