Injury History.

History. Two-star recruit from Crowley, TX. Two-sport (also played basketball) star at Crowley High School, where he was Defensive MVP in District 5A-Region II.

Strengths: Great frame, looks the part. Incredible athlete (logged 4.62 40, 38 1/2 vertical, 10’1″ broad jump at his pro day). His basketball background shows up quickly on the tape, great feet. Elite short area quickness (4.25 short shuttle, 6.87 3 cone at his pro day). Strong upper body, with powerful hands. Good stack and shed ability.

Weaknesses: Lacks elite length (6’3″, 31 1/2″ arms). Needs to get bigger and stronger. Gets pushed around way too easily in the run game. Weak lower body. Contact balance is inconsistent. Inconsistent get off. Once the plays out of the box, he’s out of the play. Level of comp.

Overview: A bit of a tweener, until he adds some mass. He can play 3-tech or 5-tech, and should be part of a rotation early. He’s stronger than his weight suggests, but to me he’s a one gap penetrating d tackle, that can use his great feet and strength to disrupt the LOS.
