Injuries:
History: Four-star recruit from Birmingham. He chose Alabama after originally verbally committing to Auburn. His mother died of breast cancer in 2010, which shaped him as a person.Has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft, will forego his Junior and Senior seasons.
Strengths: Quick and violent hands blended with an exceptional first step helps him get free right off the snap. Has a nasty swim that has seen him go untouched at times. Agile and fluid mover who can beat you inside or stunt around the edge. Has shown the ability to use power and leverage to blow up linemen or drop anchor.
Weaknesses: Not many weaknesses. Still somewhat raw in terms of pass rush arsenal. Doesn’t appear to have the length to play in multiple schemes. Although his best asset, can play too upfield, leaving some open holes in the run game.
Overview: A quick and disruptive interior penetrator. Williams combines quick hands and feet to shoot gaps, sometimes going untouched. Although a nasty swim move, Williams needs to add to his repertoire of pass rush moves. He is an immediate starter and impact player on any teams defense, regardless of scheme.
