Accolades: 2013  USA-Today High School All-American

Injuries: Had a head injury against Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

History: The top rated RB (also ran track) out of Califonia as a prep. Was suspended for the entire 2014 season after punching a woman at a cafe and breaking her jaw. The video was released in 2016. Mixon entered a plea and was forced to serve 100 hours of community service, pay a $1,200 fine and was given one year of probation. Was sued by the victim in 2016, 2 of the 3 cases were dismissed. Got into an altercation with a parking attendant and was suspended for the Iowa State game.

Strengths: Looks the part of an NFL running back with the size/speed (ran a 4.46 40 at his pro day) combination teams desire. Has large hands (10 1/4″) for a running back. Is a big play waiting to happen. Can make jump cuts and smoke through a key hole type runs that look like Le’Veon Bell. A 3-down back that can catch it naturally out of the backfield.

Weaknesses: Can be too patient to a fault waiting for holes to open. Has never taken on a full work load. Needs more time to become a more refined runner with his eyes. Immature and entitled. Doesn’t bring anything in the pass blocking game.

Overview: Maybe the most talented back among them all, Mixon is immature, entitled and unproven. Everyone knows about what happened, hell even the non sports media is all over it. He doesn’t seem like a bad kid, but whoever drafts this kid has to have a veteran locker room and good coaching staff that can get him grounded. He can do it all though, he’s big, strong, fast and can catch. Huge risk, probably an even bigger reward.

Draft Projection: Who knows. He is the biggest wild card I can ever remember

Phanaddict Draft Grade: 5.6
