Injury History. Injured wrist in 2018

History. Three-star recruit from Denver, NC. Was the Parade National Player of the Year and Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year at East Lincoln. Was a Two-time all-State, and led his team to 30 straight wins, including 2 state titles. Broke state records for total yards (16,593) and touchdowns (229). Was also a standout basketball player. Brother, Sage, played Wide Receiver for Wake Forest, and is in the 2021 NFL Draft. Participated in the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Strengths: Very nice athletic profile. Has closing burst. Good gap shooting potential. Flies through the line without fear. Ability to sidestep and dip under linemen. Good range. Has the feet and hips to provide upside in coverage. Team captain. Motor runs hot. Effort will never be an issue. Great character. Will be special teams coach’s favorite player.

Weaknesses: Raw. Still learning the flows of the position. Average length (measured just over 6’2″, 30 1/4″ arms). Needs to get stronger. Doesn’t bring much pop. Gets swallowed up by blockers. Gets out of position at times, eyes are still a work in a progress.

Overview: Fast charging linebacker who will shine on special teams, as he still learns the ins and outs of the position. Athletically, he checks the boxes, but needs to get stronger. He has nickel/sub package potential as a 3-down backer.

Evaluation based on. South Carolina 19′, Miami 20′, Syracuse 20′
