Accolades:

Injuries: Missed most of 2016 with a right hamstring injury

History: Three-star Athlete from Lawrence, KS. Played QB and S at Free State High school, where he also played basketball and baseball.

Strengths: Good size and strength. Brings pop at the point of attack. Does not hesitate to shoot gaps. Runs downhill and will mix it up with the big boys. Scrappy getting off blocks. Technical and reliable tackler. Smart and instinctive. Team captain.

Weaknesses: Average length. Some tightness in his hips. Top end speed and overall athleticism does not stand out. Versatility is not his strong suit, cannot see him playing anything other than in the middle.

Overview: Dineen is a hard-nosed MLB that could fit in either defensive front. He’s smart and instinctive and does a good job getting off blocks, despite his lack of size. Unfortunately, his athleticsm doesn’t check all the boxes. Dineen Jr. will make his money on special teams and on 1st and 2nd down, but I don’t envision him being counted on as an every down guy.
