Injury History.

History. Three-star recruit from Katy, TX. Was All-State as a Senior at Katy, where he led his team to the 6A State Championship, and the Nations #1 rating.

Strengths: Ideal size. Smart and instinctive. Diagnoses very quickly. Quarterback of the defense. Good hand usage on blocks. Solid gap shooter who can make some plays in the backfield. Strong, wrap up tackler with a nose for the football. Vocal leader. Great football character.

Weaknesses: Limited athletically. Hips are stiff, feet are on the slower side, and he doesn’t have much explosion. Liability matching up man vs pretty much anyone. Has issues sidestepping blockers. Very limited as a rusher.

Overview: MIKE or SAM linebacker who will excel on special teams, and possible become a reliable two down linebacker. His athletic profile will always limit him, but he does make up with it with a great understanding of the position and the game.

Evaluation based on. Wisconsin 17′, Michigan St. 17′, Stanford 19′
