Injury History.

History. Three-star recruit from Hominy, OK. Played QB, LB, and S at Hominy High School, where he was a four-year starter. Was first team all-state and won a Class A State title as a Senior.

Strengths: Great build, with long arms. Great range, and long speed. Explosive player that can shoot gaps and make plays in the backfield. Wide tackle radius. Playmaker, that was around the ball throughout career. Good eyes in zone. All around disciplined player.

Weaknesses: Average lateral ability. Hips are a little stiff. Can be out of control in pursuit. Wish he would take on blocks with more aggression. Doesn’t have much of a pass rush skill set. Ability to diagnose is just okay.

Overview: Great combo of old school size/athleticism. Great chase down tackler. He’s really great at reading the QBs eyes and dropping into zones. Collins is pretty scheme diverse. His size suggests playing on the edge, but he’s very raw there. His most natural position would be SAM where he can match up with Tight Ends and shoot gaps in the run game. Collins is a good player and will be a solid starter, but I don’t have a first round grade on him.
