Misc. Stats:

Accolades: 2016 First-team All-Conference USA, 2017 First-team All-Conference USA, 2017 Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year

Injuries: Missed one game in 2014 with an injury. Missed one game in 2015 with an injury

History: Two-star recruit out of John Paul Stevens in San Antonio, TX.

Strengths: Ideal size for a edge rusher (almost 6’6 265 with long arms). Has elite athleticism. Good bull rusher, uses violent hands. Gets his long arms up when collapsing the pocket to bat balls. Has experience rushing both sides.

Weaknesses: Still raw, relies on athleticism alone. His combine numbers and his film don’t match up. Plays too tall, needs to get better leverage. Doesn’t have a 2nd option, if he doesn’t win at first. Level of competition was weak.

Overview: Davenport looks the part and tests the part, but he is extremely raw. I don’t see him standing up, I think he plays with his hand in the dirt as a Left End in a 4-3.  I even think he has the frame to add 30 pounds and play as a 5-technique in a 30 front.
