Strengths. Prototypical size. Elite physical traits and arm strength, can spin it with the best of them. Can make all the throws, and then some. Exceptional football IQ, has been groomed to be a Franchise QB. Accurate passer at all three levels. Confident in his ability to squeeze the ball into tight windows. Underrated athlete, long strider that can take off and pick up big gains. Experience running RPO. Great sense of pressure and feel inside the pocket. Will stand in there and take his licks. Big hands (measured 10″ at pro day). Has all the intangibles you look for in a football player and a QB. Great leader. Battle tested.
Weaknesses. A little thin framed, could gain to add some weight. Has not been perfect with working through his progressions. Sometimes leaves his receivers out to dry a little, but can’t fault the aggressiveness of the throws.
Overview. A rare prototype Quarterback prospect that has it all from the arm, athleticism, football IQ, decision making, and intangibles. Looks the part and plays the part. About as close to a can’t miss of a QB prospect, we’ve ever seen. Lawrence is a day one starting QB, the face of your franchise. He has the potential to be one of the best QBs in the league.
