Injuries: Broken right leg in 2016
History: Four-star recruit from La Grange, TX. Rushed for almost 5,000 yards and scored 72 times as a sophomore and junior at La Grange. He broke a bone in his right leg one game into his senior year. First name is J’Kaylin.
Strengths: Great size, chisseled body and frame to add more. Proven work horse, who shined on the big stage (final 4 games vs PSU, @MICH, WISC, CLEM 118 att, 714 yards, 8 TDs). One cut runner who can combine speed with power. Finishes his runs, can punish smaller defenders. Great pad level. Can run over guys and easily brushes off arm tackles. Good vision on inside runs. Quick processor.
Weaknesses: Lacks quick twitch. Doesn’t have great wiggle, more of a North/South runner. Stop/Start ability is average. Creativity in space is lacking a little. Looks a little lost in pass pro at times, although he is willing and tough.
Overview: Dobbins is a punishing one cut runner who combines speed and power. He best fits in a zone running scheme, that would allow him to share some of the load with a veteran, until he can become more consistent on 3rd downs.
