History: Four-star recruit out of McKinney, TX. He was the district champion in the 100m. Brifetly sprinted for USC’s track team in 2016.

Strengths: Home run threat, despite poor 40 time at combine (ran 4.48 at pro day and said his hamstring was at 85%). Quick feet. Patient, waits for his blocks to develop. Run after the catch ability. Makes defenders miss with his elite acceleration. Has worked on his craft as a receiver and in pass pro since his freshmen year. Good balance to fight for extra yards. Hits the hole and gets to the 2nd level fast.

Weaknesses: Not a bruiser by any means. Pass pro is inconsistent, still lunges. Wasn’t used a lot in the pass game. Thin framed, could add some bulk. Handled a rather large workload. Touches may need to be limited in the pros.

Overview: Jones, is a home run threat, one cut runner that would excel from a zone blocking scheme. I have questions whether he could handle a full workload. He may be the one back that people aren’t talking about, like Kamara last year.
