Injuries: Missed most of 2016 with a foot injury.
History: Unrecruited from Sonora, CA. Only played one year of football at Sonora High. League MVP in basketball averging 19 points and 10 rebounds per game. All-Conference Water polo, as well as swimming and running cross country. Will forego his Senior season, has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Strengths: Great size, well built muscular frame. Acceleration off the snap is great. Can fly up the seam in a hurry. Long speed is good. Has really fluid feet. Finds his way through traffic well on play action. Good leaping ability and has shown (in limited reps) to box out and high point the ball, he was very good prep basketball player. Good awareness in zone blocking to find his man, lock on and drive. Competitive. Work ethic and character are good.
Weaknesses: Inexperienced, began playing football as a Senior in High School, and only had 51 career receptions in college. Can get overwhelmed in the run game when tasked with the big boys. Might be a better zone blocker than an in-line blocker at this point in his career. His usage at San Diego St. was limited, they run a lot of Power I.
Overview: He has NFL size, speed, and athleticism. He’s still new to the game, as he’s only played four years of football, but has a very athletic background. He is one of the higher upside guys at his position this year. He could step in right away in 12 personnel, with starting ability in the future.
