Injuries:
History: Three-star recruit from Cibolo, Tx. Originally from Las Vegas, he was a three year starter at Steele High School in Cibolo. Will forego his Senior season, has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Strengths: Long limbed. Big hands. Huge catch radius. Has shown the ability to high point the ball. Good concentration. Sure handed. Better open field runner than you expect from a guy his size. Does a good job selling vertical and breaking off his route, providing a big target. Good football character. Energetic player.
Weaknesses: Need to get bigger and stronger. Very thin frame. Lateral agility is nothing special. Long speed is okay, not great. Isn’t super explosive. Did not deal with a lot of press coverage. The Big 12 plays no defense. Run strength is below average, goes down easy. One year of production.
Overview: Wesley has the potential to be a good outside WR in the NFL. He’s big and has enough athleticism, combined with good ball skills offers plenty of upside. He’s likely still a year or two away, as he needs to work on his release and route running, as well as fill out his lean frame.
