Misc. Stats:

Accolades: 2018 First-team All-Big 12, 2018 First-Team All-American

Injuries: Suffered a lower left leg injury in the Big-12 Championship game, but played in Orange Bowl (did not have a reception).

History: Cousin of Antonio Brown. He did not receive any D1 scholarships he signed with the College of the Canyons. He was ranked a 4-star recruit and ranked as a top-25 JUCO player. He chose Oklahoma over TCU, Tennessee, and USC.

Strengths: An Absolute blazer. Gets off the line quick and reaches top speed in an instance. Has an additional gear, that very few guys have. Dangerous weapon, who can take it to the house every time he gets the ball in his hands. Really good ball carrier vision. When he sees a hole, he’s gone. Takes the top off the coverage, and requires that coordinators always have somebody helping over the top. Lateral quickness is just as impressive as long speed, can really make guys miss in the open field.

Weaknesses: Undersized, thin framed. Height/length deficiencies will limit him ever being a 50/50 guy. Medicals need to be vetted. Lacks play strength. Will be almost a non factor in the run game. Only two years of D1 experience, and that was playing against Big 12 defenses. Will need to be coached up to become a more well rounded receiver.

Overview: Marquise Brown, will probably be compared to Tyreek Hill due to recent memory, but he reminds me a lot of Desean Jackson. He’s undersized, but he can absolutely fly. Guys with his playmaking ability don’t grow on trees. I’d like to see him add some additional muscle on to get some more manufactured looks. If his medicals check out, I don’t see him getting out of the 1st round.

Draft Projection: 1st Round
